splits
wal mart. household shoping, weekly. entering wal mart in paye
automaticaly fills total amout field and will not allow for
changes.
i have to manual figure the last split amount.
has wal mart been memorized? if so who do i unmemorize it?

Moneydance will remember previous descriptions and auto fill the splits accordingly. Many users have asked for this feature and find it useful. You are correct in that the major downside in doing this is that the user has to calculate the last entry of the split them selves.
Currently there is no way for the use to disable the behaviour. You could close the split window and press command-K (or ctrl-K on windows) to delete the split and start a new one.
