I just closed Moneydance for the first time since importing from Quicken and registering it. I've put quite a few transactions in and reconciled. I was trying to install extensions (Handybank and your updater) and was getting a Java error so I decided to restart the app. When I went to close it I was prompted to save the file. I Created a directory and file name and saved and closed the program.

When I relaunch the program the file cannot be found and is not in the recently opened list. I don't know the extension you use for your data file so not sure what to search for.

Please advise on lost file and java errors on extension installs.

Regards,

Michael

    Hi Michael,
Sorry no, I can't but so as to assist the MD Support Staff in helping you, you should provide the following:
    Moneydance version
    Operating System
    Version of Java
You can glean this information from the first few lines of text in the Console Window listed under Moneydance's Help menu. Copy and paste the information into your next post.
Also provide the full text of any error message(s) displayed in the Console window and / or eslewhere.
It may help to open the console window first and then try to recreate the error.
    HTH -Kevin N.
