.moneydancesync folder / OSX 10.7 / network synchronizer / dropbox option
!!!! THIS IS A CALL OUT TO THE MONEYDANCE SUPPORT TEAM !!!!
I've been using Moneydance since 2002. I've been using Moneydance under OSX since 2006.
I'm not the person having the problem.
I'm helping another Moneydance user who is having trouble setting up Dropbox option under the new Network Synchronizer extension running Moneydance release 803 under OSX 10.7. I live in Colorado, he live in another state. I'm helping him over the phone.
Installed the new Network Synchronizer Extension.
Moneydance fails to create the .moneydancesync folder and associated files in /Users/"username"/Dropbox under OSX 10.7. Moneydance created .moneydancesync folder and associated files under PPC OSX 10.5.8.
That said, Dropbox account online is also failing to create any hidden folders or hidden files within the local Dropbox folder under OSX 10.7.
Checked, double checked, and triple checked permissions on local Dropbox folder. All are correct. Ran Disk Utility Permission checks and Permission fixing. All to no avail.
Removed and re-installed extension numerous times. Enabled and Disabled extension numerous times with Moneydance program up and running on handheld device. Dropbox installed and working on handheld device.
Only option that hasn't been tried yet, rename current Dropbox folder. Re-run Dropbox program. Set up Dropbox afresh.

Can you open a terminal and change directory to the Dropbox directory.
Then enter the command
