Backups will no longer work, Moneydance complaining of filename or extension too long during restore.

The version and build of Moneydance you are running. See under HELP - ABOUT MONEYDANCE e.g. 2017.7(1670)
The operating system your computer is running.
Provide a example of a backup file main take wont restore.
Where are your backup stored.
