Dropbox Sync - not making it back to Desktop
Just began to use Dropbox Sync with my iPhone 4S. Wouldn't find the iPhone via WiFi sync so i researched and followed your directions for the Recommended Sync using Dropbox. Established Dropbox account and everything loaded up as advertised. All of my current appropriate desktop Moneydance data loaded onto the iPhone.
I made a few new entries on the iPhone and they remain on the iPhone. At the bottom it specifies the correct time and date for the "Last Sync" .
When I look at my Dropbox account "Events" I can also see files added that reflect the new entries on the iPhone. Seems good but.....
I am not getting any new data transferred into my Desktop Moneydance program. None of the iPhone entries are (seemingly) syncing onto the desktop program.
Is there anything I need to activate or "tell" Dropbox or Moneydance to complete the back and forth ? Right now it looks like it worked once initially, interacts from the iPhone to the Dropbox website account, but doesn't transfer into my desktop Moneydance ( even as my desktop Moneydance transfers out to the Dropbox website account and the iPhone Moneydance.

There are a number of possible situations.
First, if you would copy and paste the contents of Help > Console Window.
This will help greatly in figuring out the problem.
If you would also post the location of your local Dropbox folder, that would also help a great deal.

Hi Calvin,
This could be from using an older version of Moneydance. Your 2010 license entitles you to a free upgrade to the 2011 version, so I would suggest downloading and installing that version and then seeing if this problem still occurs.

when i upgrade to the 2011 version will all the present data slide on over ( i.e. it updates current information or is their a process of converting and/or starting anew).

Hi Calvin,
Your data will be intact and there should be no need for a migration process You may have to re-enter your license key (Help -> Register Moneydance), but I don't think you'll even have to do that.
