Download transactions
MD has been working great but suddenly will not download transactions for 2 different credit card providers and two different financial institutions for checking/saving accounts. It has always downloaded upon starting up MD and also worked inside an individual credit or bank account. Same problem on two different Macs. Downloaded a copy of MD 2011r2 (803) with same problem.

Hi Paul,
Do you otherwise have internet access? Can you access web sites?
Are there other accounts in your Moneydance data file that still perform as expected regarding downloading txns?
Are you behind a router?
Have you changed any firewall settings lately?
It's unlikely that 4 different financial institutions (FI) all went down at the same time however you should still provide the names of the FIs.

Internet access? Web sites? Well, yeah, I got to this page didn't I?
ALL accounts from which Moneydance downloaded transactions do NOT download now.
No change in any computer/router/internet/firewall settings or hardware.
As unlikely as it may be that IS the case. I have tried "Download all accounts" and "Download Transactions" for each account.
Delta Community Credit Union, Wells Fargo, American Express and USAA Visa.
There must be a file problem of some sort since I cannot download from 2 different computers using a data file in Dropbox. MD has worked flawlessly for nearly 3 years.

This is the Console Window message accessed from the Help menu item in MD:
no txn files to sync
I'm getting more of these entries than individual accounts. Its like MD is continuing to try to sync data. I have 40+ of these entries from one click of "Download Transactions" with another entry every 10 seconds.

I figured out that the "no txn files to sync" is MD saving to the data file.
I'm not seeing any Console Window entries when I click to download transactions.

Solved?
I had restarted my Mac with no fix.
Shutdown, waited about 10 minutes and restarted and MD works like before.
Mac issue with Mountain Lion OS?

Glad to hear that your connected again. When all else fails - reboot. :)
There was an issue with Gatekeeper in ML that was resolved. Look to post # 2 from forum member james f in the following thread. He provides a link to the installation file for the signed version of build (803)

You may want to try installing that build if the downloading issue that you experienced continues.

Right! Except this one took a total shutdown and restart.
Sorry for being so sarcastic.
This past weekend I recommended Moneydance to someone who was considering moving from a PC to a Mac but concerned about their Quicken file.

Hi Paul,
You might want to point them to the Knowledge Base article with the instructions for exporting their Q data and importing it into MD.
