My deposits don't show up when I reconcile
I went to reconcile and although the deposits were all in the register with the correct date they did not show up in the reconcile box. Then I tried to go back to the previous reconcile and I could not.

Hello,
You've encountered a minor bug that will be fixed in the next release of Moneydance. Fortunately, it is easy for you to fix. When viewing the reconcile window, simply click and drag the bottom right corner of the window to increase the window size. The window will then be large enough to see your deposits.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

Yes,
I ended up pressing "done" but it actually isn't done - how do I go back so I can reconcile that month before doing the next?
Thank you
Julie

Thank you,
However I need to now go back into the month I was reconciling and I did press "done." How do I go back and finish that month?
Thank you
Julie

Hi Julie,
The easiest way to go back before doing the reconcile is to open a backup file from before you did the reconcile. To do this, go to File -> Open, then select a backup file (which is in the format of yourfilename.md-YYYY-MM-DD) that is before the reconcile occurred and open it and start from there. After your finished, it'd probably be best to do File -> Save as... and choose a filename to save the file to, or else the YYYY-MM-DD part will end up in your filename and possibly cause confusion later down the road.
When reconciling, don't forget to reconcile resize the window to be larger so that the deposits show up.

This was the only backup - I only used it this once, entered about 6 months of data into it then reconciled. Is there any other way? It took a full day to enter the data. I'd rather but software that actually works if I have to reenter it all. Can I delete some entries or any other way to go back to before the reconcile?

Hi Julie,
The reconcile process does little more than 'Clear' transactions in your register. You can denote 'Cleared' transactions in your register by the green check-mark in the 'C' column of each transaction.
To go back to your prior reconciliation, simply remove the green check-mark from those transactions that you were reconciling.
You may even be able to just continue on with the reconciliation from where you left off.
I would NOT delete any transactions.
HTH -Kevin N.
