Hi mancubcheif,
The error message sounds like you have a permissons problem with the .moneydance folder.
In Win 7, click the Start button.
Click on your user name.
In the resulting Explorer window, right click the .moneydance folder.
Select 'Properties' from the context menu.
Select the 'Security' tab.
Select your user name in the 'Group or user names' section.
Look to the 'Permissions' section.
Make sure that you have 'Full control'.
If not, click 'Edit' and change the permissions for your user name.

Hi mancubcheif,
There should be a folder inside the .moneydance folder called fmodules.
Check the permisions for that folder as well.
The fmodules folder is where the extensions are placed.
If everything looks ok there then in order to assist the MD Support Staff in helping you, you should provide the following:
Moneydance version
Operating System
Version of Java
You can glean this information from the first few lines of text in the Console Window listed under Moneydance's Help menu. Copy and paste the information into your next post.

If you turn off Norton completely and try again, are you able to download extensions? Also, you may want to check to make sure the Windows built-in firewall isn't blocking Moneydance.

Turned off and still no access...
Windows firewall off as well
Does the trial block anything? Since it is a trial can I uninstall and
reinstall?

Hi Wicks Family,
I think that at this juncture re-installing is a good idea.
So as to eliminate the posibility of corruption as the culprit, I would re-download the installlation file and re-install using the new file.
You may want to try installing the version that comes with 32 bit Java. It is listed on the following webpage as 'Windows (includes Java)'.

Hi,
If you click on one of your accounts on the left sidebar, then go to Online -> Setup online banking, then click the "New Connection" button, are you able to download the list of financial institutions?
Also, can you try opening a console window by going to Help -> Console Window, then try adding an extension and pasting the output here so we can analyze it?
