Inability to remove memorised transactions

For one of my entries into the register I entered a split transaction. Now every time I use the same payee the split transaction pops up. How do I stop this happening? Even though subsequent entries are changed on entry to remove the split, I still get the split. A big enough nuisance to return to Quicken 2004.

    Hi John,

    Try this...

The next time that you go to enter a transaction for this particular payee, enter the amount of the transaction first, then enter the name of the payee.

Doing so should circumvent auto-complete from doing it's dirty deeds.

Just tried it, and then when I tried another for same payee, the split was gone. Thanks for your prompt answer. This program is a bit odd at times!
