should be able to connect now. You will need to disable your
current connection to your bank and then recreate it using the New
Connection button on the Online Banking Setup screen. To do so, you
can follow these steps:

1) Select your bank account in Moneydance
2) Select the Online->Setup Online Banking button/menu
3) Click the "Disable" button
4) Select the Online->Setup Online Banking button/menu
(again)
5) Click the "New Connection" button and select your bank and hit
OK
6) Continue with the setup process, entering your
username/password
7) Repeat steps 1-6 for each account

Make sure you pick new connection, even though your bank is
still one of the connection choices after you disable it. Choosing
your bank from the list of available banks will force Moneydance to
download the updated information, which should then allow you to
connect.

Please let me know if you continue to have connection problems
after recreating your connection.

What version of Moneydance 2008 are you using? You can find out
your version by going to the Help Menu and choosing the About
Moneydance option. If you are not using the most recent preview
version or 2008 (2008r4 Build 643), please update to that version.
You can download the update from our website at http://moneydance.com/preview.
This update has resolved a few key issues our users have been
experiencing. Alternately, you can upgrade to Moneydance 2010,
which should also fix the error.

Please let me know if your issue persists and we will look into
other solutions.

have not setup paid access, then I am pretty sure that there is no
way to download directly into MD. I am not going to pay chase any
money, so I log into my account and then go to the financial
software section under customer service and download a .qfx file.
Please note, that if you are a mac user, you need to use Firefox.
Chase downloads will not work with Safari. Not that big of a deal,
but had to overcome these minor issues and now I am a happy
camper.

macspacktag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/7006822009-12-16T15:10:27Z2009-12-16T15:10:27Zdownload transactions from chase

Hi JDS,

Thank you for reporting that you are also experiencing this
problem with MD2010 and build 643 of MD2008. We're currently
investigating the problem and will hopefully have a solution soon.
I'll let you know when I know more.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for your interest in

We've just put out the second release of MD2010. Would you be
willing update and let me know if you're still experiencing
problems? If you could copy any error message you get from MD2010
here, that would be great.

thanks for your patience and help in troubleshooting this

You may need to activate your account with Chase for direct
downloads. If you haven't already done so, please contact Chase and
ask them to activate your account for direct connect (not web
connect) with Quicken 2008. This should allow you to connect with
Moneydance.

If you still have problems connecting, it would be best if you
could open a new discussion with details about your problem,
including what operating system and version of Moneydance you are
using. It will be much easier for us to help troubleshoot your
connection that way.

Hope this helps. Thanks for your interest in Moneydance!

transactions, but cannot pay bills any longer. I am using build 735
of Moneydance on Linux. I have the following symptoms.

A bill that it says was sent via the bank was never sent, and
the bank claims that it has no record of it. Other bills went
through fine. This was last month.

I sent one payment out today, and there was no error message. It
seems to have gone through, because when I go to Online ->
Online Bill Payment ... it shows up as "Will process".

However, when I tried a second payment, I got the error
message:

There was an error communicating with your financial
institution. The details of this error are below.

Bank Name: Chase

Account: Chase Bank
Account Number: ********83

The error code reported by the server was: 2000
We were unable to process your request. Please try again later.

So, I went online and downloaded the latest build and tried
again. Got the same
error message. Disabled the account, reconnected and tried again.
Same problem.

Tried paying a bill to a different account just now, and this
time it worked!? Why does it work to pay RCN but not AT&T?

I think that the problem might have to do with the dates for
delivery. I logged on to Chase's site to pay the bills there. There
were two payments that I was unable to make with Moneydance and
these both caused problems with the delivery dates, and Chase
required me to change them. Chase does not fix this problem itself
and required me to figure out which date was not on a weekend, or
even a Monday (since Chase wants to deliver the day before), and
was within the deadline that I wanted. This is probably what caused
Moneydance to choke on these payments.

jdstag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/7006822010-01-09T20:38:55Z2010-01-09T20:38:55Zdownload transactions from chase

Hi jds,

Thanks for the update. It's unfortunate that Chase doesn't send
a more useful error message when the date is incorrect for their
system, but it's good to know that's what's going on. Please let us
know if you have any further problems connecting to Chase.
