Recovering file

My Mac Book Pro computer had difficulties and I seem to have lost the most recent copy of my Moneydance files. Is there a way to get these from a backup? I have attached the mosgt recent I can find. I am not finding any more recent files and did a huge amount of work around the first of the year. Please advise if there is any hope or how I can search.

    I'm a fellow user.

    Moneydance backups generally have the file extension of .moneydancearchive, they are the files to look for.
