I've seen other posts that seem to indicate a bug report. But that got me to thinking. How do the developers know about these issues? There's no bug reporting option and it seems to me that relying on reading all the Problems would be cumbersome. Are some users authorized to report bugs behind the scenes?

Anyone have any ideas how they find out about issues that should be addressed?

LarryWtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/469652852019-02-15T20:22:27Z2019-02-15T20:22:27ZHow does developer know of bugs or other things to fix?

I'm a fellow user.

The support staff should file a ticket against the issue which you should see in these forums. The tickets are then in a system that the developers can readily see, users do not have access to this system. The support staff should be the link between the users and the developers.

This is largely how it works in large companies as well. You deal with support and if they cannot fix something they have an escalation system to the next level, in large companies there are more than just the two levels.

For Moneydance there is also a slack channel for communication between Moneydance staff and users, and some of us have taken to referring to issues in this channel from the forums that appear to be bugs

The bottom line is that the support staff should be going through the forums and in doing so helping people with day to day problems and lodging support tickets where back end help is needed.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/469652852019-02-16T00:04:04Z2019-02-16T00:04:04ZHow does developer know of bugs or other things to fix?

Thanks.

LarryW
