First, I would upgrade your old computer to 2017.10 from https://infinitekind.com/download_2017

Make sure all is well. Click on HELP – SHOW DOCUMENT FOLDER. This will open a file explorer in the default data set location.
Close Moneydance. Your data set is a folder not a file containing other files and folder. The naming convention for the data set is yourdatasetname.moneydance. Copy this folder.

Install 2017.10 on your new computer.
Open Moneydance on your new computer. Assuming this is the first time you have opened it, it should open in the welcome window Click “Account a new account set” and set up a dummy account so you can then click HELP – SHOW DOCUMENT FOLDER. This will open a file explorer in the default data set location. Close Moneydance. Paste your data set is to this location.
Open Moneydance then FILE - OPEN (MONEYDANCE – OPEN on Mac), your data set should be listed.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/470802232019-03-16T14:49:58Z2019-03-16T14:49:59ZSwitching computers

Thanks for your suggestion. I did what you said and downloaded version 2019.1 and it loaded as an unregistered copy of the program. I registered it with my existing Key Code and it works fine. I received a thanks for registering your product email so everything should be good. I transferred my user file over to the new computer and everything is up to date and working.

Good to Go

Thanks
