In my budget I have a line item for Automobile Insurance. I have once payment of $487 in March.
In the budget report it says I've budgeted $298.

I didn't check all the items, but this one glared out at me.

    just a user,

I think the problem is caused by the report period of 3 months, but only having expense and budget for one month. You need to choose a single month unless I'm missing something.

That was an interesting thought, but that doesn't work either.
In the screenshot, what it's doing is $487 times 20 days in the month,
divided by 31 days in the month. It should just give me the number.
On the quarterly one, I don't know what it's doing, but the budget for the
3 months is simply the total of the budgeted amounts for the 3 months.

    just a user,

I had a discussion a couple of months ago with another user who had a similar issue with that report. We never quite figured it out, but it has something to do with running the report against a partial month. I would like to see the math behind the report because I could never figure out exactly how they were coming up with the numbers for a partial period. It seems like they are calculating any partial period by a fraction of a year instead of a whole day. If you run the report for the full period. Either 1/1/2019 thru 3/31/2019 or 3/01/2019 thru 3/31/2019 I think you'll see the numbers show up correctly.

I'm hoping an employee is monitoring this post so they look at it.
