A lot of changes have been made since 1845.
Update at https://infinitekind.com/preview
Worth a try.
if not it could help if you post the theme you are using under FILE - PREFERENCES

Hope this helps

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/471712822019-04-12T17:47:58Z2019-04-12T17:47:58ZField Colours in Find & Replace

Hi Derek, thanks for your response.
I'm embarrassed by my incompetence in not providing full info.
I am in fact running 1865 not 1845 & I'm in the Dark Mode theme.

Dark Mode Theme may be the culprit here, does the same issue occur if you use other themes?

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/471712822019-04-13T07:49:01Z2019-04-13T07:49:02ZField Colours in Find & Replace

I'm sure that you are right - Dark Mode needs a tweak.
I've tried Solarised Dark too & that's hard to read but slightly better than Dark Mode.

iandarkwatertag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/471712822019-05-20T22:12:47Z2019-05-20T22:12:47ZField Colours in Find & Replace

I have a customised theme which work OK ish for me.
If I choose to look at another theme, will I lose all the customisation that I have done? Is there a way that I can save my theme to simply switch it back on if I need to? It took me hours of trial and error to achieve it.

Tom Hendersontag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/471712822019-05-21T07:25:43Z2019-05-21T07:25:43ZField Colours in Find & Replace

I am not support staff, just a user.

You can change the theme without losing your Custom theme. Custom will be one of the themes listed in the dropdown. However, don’t click on Customize when using a theme other than your Custom theme or the Custom theme will be changed to be based on the selected theme. When you change a theme, you need to restart moneydance for the change to take effect.
Theme settings are stored in a file called “custom_theme.properties. you can make a copy of this file and if experimenting and things go wrong you can reinstate this file to get back to a good state. On windows the file is located at C:\Users\user_name.moneydance\

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/471712822019-05-21T12:29:59Z2019-05-21T12:29:59ZField Colours in Find & Replace

Thanks Derek, I will now have a look to see what has changed in the last

Have reported the issue to Sean the software developer on his Slack site.

Just an update to let you know that I've fixed this in the find and replace extension. It's colours should now be consistent with the rest of the app. You should now be able to use the Extensions->Manage Extensions menu to install the update.

Thanks!
Thanks for your email. I have updated to 2019.3 (1880) & updated the 'Find
& Replace' extension & I'm still seeing the same issue in the Dark Mode theme. Each field in Find & Replace has a bright yellow background when
they have focus & inserted text is unreadable whilst the field has focus.
Regards
Ian

iandarkwatertag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/471712822019-06-15T10:10:32Z2019-06-15T10:10:32ZField Colours in Find & Replace

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi iandarkwater

Strange, I don't see the yellow background in text entry boxes, mine are black with white text when entered.
However the results table is not great. Mostly black text on dark grey back ground with dark orange in the amount column.

Can you confirm your build of Find and Replace?

Can you post a screen shot of what you are seeing

Running 2019.3(1880) on windows 10 Find & Replace build 1214

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/471712822019-06-15T10:37:27Z2019-06-15T10:37:27ZField Colours in Find & Replace

Hi Derek
I've often been called weird & worse!
I'm running MD1880 in Dark Mode on Win10 with F&R reporting itself as v1214.
See screen shot with the focus on the Replace:description field. All fillable fields show the same behaviour when they have focus.

iandarkwatertag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/471712822019-06-15T11:20:04Z2019-06-15T11:20:04ZField Colours in Find & Replace

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi iandarkwater

I think we have moved from Strange to Very Strange. See the results I get when I type in the same text box.
I have also reported to Sean the extension middle bottom of window is reporting the wrong build number i.e. 1211 instead of 1214.
Did you restart Moneydance after updating F & R?
If yes, long shot, try uninstalling F & R and and reinstalling then restart Moneydance.

Hope this helps

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/471712822019-06-15T11:49:29Z2019-06-15T11:49:29ZField Colours in Find & Replace

Hi Derek
Un-installing F&R & re-installing following reboot of MD did it.
All is now well.
Many thanks to you & Sean for resolving my problem.
