Looks like MD 2012 (Mac, running ML) excludes future amounts in the balance calculation on the home page.

Iphone and account page balances match.

Homepage on Mac version doesn't include transactions scheduled at the bank and listed in my register, but with a future date.

I think it's better if the numbers match.

    I tried this:

    MD
    Preferences
    General
    Side Bar Balance Type
    Current Balance Balance Cleared Balance

For me, all 3 show the same value...excludes the future transactions entered in my register.

    Edit to add:
Selecting the balance value (lower right) on the register page, pops up a window showing these 3 values plus Ledger and Available balance values. These 3 values are different..... Current Balance, Balance, Cleared Balance from each other.

It looks like no matter which one you select in the preferences, you always get the "current balance".

Based on this, I think it's not a deliberate change in functionality, but rather, it isn't working correctly.

BTW - I'm the same guy...for both posts...forget to log in the first time.

You can select the balance type that is used on the home page for each type of account that you have.

    Go to the home page.
Look at the group of bank accounts.
At the top of the group on the left are the words "Bank Accounts"
At the top on the right of the group are the words "Current Balance"
Click the words "Current Balance" and you will see a menu option to select "Current Balance", "Balance" or "Cleared Balance".
The "Balance" option will include future transactions.

Yes. Thank you, that fixed it. You might want to pass along the "preference" issue I described above. It seems broken to me.
