The program can't start because api-ms-win-core-timezone-II-I-O.dII is missing from your computer.

Initial install on Windows 7 PC.

Also got similar:
"The program can't start because api-ms-win-core-localization-ll -2-0.dII
is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this
problem. "

The installs (tried several times) ended a little gracelessly, i.e. Finish Button, merely closed that window. Found Moneydance in start menu

    I'm a fellow user.

I would be inclined to deinstall Moneydance, download a fresh copy from the website then do the installation again.

That dll is part of the Java runtime and does exist so it is possible you have a faulty kit or something going wrong during the installation. A freshly downloaded kit and a clean installation may help.

I've installed all recent builds up to and including 1888 without problem.

    Hello,Thank you for your reply.
I tried a fresh download (identical SIZE as previous).  Ran installer as adminstrator this time, also closed every other program, except Onenote (for notetaking).  Installation went as before...with this choice to update yes:Result was the same errors.

So, used Control Panel to uninstall Moneydance, closed everything but Onenote, then ran latest installer as administrator...same error messages.
Install time after answering the file-associations window, is surprisingly fast, maybe 5 seconds.

BTW, the installer program lists AMD in filename (Moneydance_windows_amd64(1).exe), anything to be concerned with, I have Intel?

I am not support staff, just a user.

Is your computers operating system 32bit or 64bit?
Due to the Moneydance embedded version of Java it no longer supports 32 bit.
