I'm running Moneydance 2011r2 (803) on my Macbook Pro using Mac OS X Version 10.6.8. My internet connection is working fine. For the last 3 days, when I try to access online bill payment, I get the following message:

"There was an error communicating with your financial institution. The details of this error are below.

Bank Name: TD Bank Online Banking
Account: Paul's Banknorth Checking
Account Number: XXXXXXXXXXXX

A communication or parsing error occurred. This could be the result of a network problem, a proxy error, or misconfigured server.
Error Description: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: java.security.cert.CertificateException: Untrusted Server Certificate Chain"

Also, I thought maybe if I upgraded to Moneydance 2012 the problem would go away. I downloaded Moneydance 2012, and when I run the installation and the "Getting Started With Moneydance" dialog box opens, I choose "Import File" and when I try to open the file I use with Moneydance 2011 I get the message "Sorry, an account set with this name already exists"

HELP! I have bills to pay immediately!

Thank you~

Paul

I renamed it Moneydance Datafile renamed 10-23-12.md-2012-10-17 and it now appears greyed out when I look in Finder to select it to import.

Also, does this have anything to do with my MAIN problem, which is that I can't access online billpay?

    Hi Paul,
The file that you are renaming is a backup data file. Backup data files have their creation date appended to them.
Locate your main data file (the one without the creation date appended to it)
Make a copy of your main data file and rename the copy.
Try the MD 2012 upgrade again using the renamed copy.

As for the original TD Bank problem, from what I've read on these forums, TD Bank evidently updated their security certificate which is causing the problem.

MD 2012 is not a minor upgrade as far as file format is concerned. Just so that you are
fully aware of the ramifications of upgrading, look to the following blog entry by the lead developer, Sean Reilly:
