I ran two additional tests with no success.

I uninstalled and performed a fresh install of MoneyDance 2019.3 (as opposed to installing over top of an existing MoneyDance installation). Split transactions still cause MoneyDance to lock up.

I restored from an old backup Moneydance file (that I new for sure could handle split transactions). Still, split transactions cause MoneyDance to lock up.

Apparently, the split-transaction window persistently opened on a phantom monitor/screen through app re-installs, computer reboots, and reversions to backups.

I reconnected a second monitor and was able to see the window.

FYI for anyone else with this problem, the 'ALT-SPACEBAR --> M' proposed by Kevin in the link above seems to work if you don't have access to the second monitor.

Jonathantag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/476038952019-09-09T08:37:49Z2019-09-09T08:37:49ZDesktop App

Hi Jonathan,
