Can't sync via either method.
Good Morning,
This is the next step after the issue I brought up last week. [1]
I have restored my datafile and caught up on my transactions on my new laptop. Now, I need to restore the sync.
WiFi Sync: Can't see the iPhone.
I have gone through the steps in the FAQ entry for the network sync extension. [2] My new laptop and my iPhone are on the same WiFi access point and have IP addresses in the same subnet. My WAP is an Apple Airport Extreme, and it's not blocking Bonjour. I'm running the current version of Network Sync. The iPhone never shows up in the list on the laptop App.
DropBox Sync: Files are not uploading.
The new laptop picked up the old encryption password from the recovered datafile. (I'm guessing.) I've tried changing that password. I've deleted the MoneyDance folder and the .moneydancesync (I may have the name wrong.) I have yet to get a file uploaded to my DropBox. I recall DropBox emailing/popping up an announcement when an application starts using the service. That hasn't happened, this time.
I've loaded, removed, and loaded the extension.
What else can I try? What other data points can I gather?
Thanks!
David

Hi David,
What version of Moneydance and Java are you using? These can be found by going to Help -> Console window.

Hi, Scott,
I apologize! I've been using MoneyDance long enough to know I should have looked at the Console early... I'll give you more than just what you asked for, because there's a console error that looks relevant:
Thanks!
David

Hi David,
It looks like you're using the sandboxed version of Moneydance 2012, which isn't compatible with the Network Sync extension, but now has Dropbox syncing built in. To fix this, try uninstalling the Network Sync extension by going to Extensions -> Manage extensions, then scrolling down to the Network Sync extension and clicking the "Remove" button, then go to File -> Syncing... and configure Dropbox syncing there. If Dropbox syncing is enabled there, you may need to disable it and then re-enable it, which may prompt you to give Moneydance permission to access your Dropbox folder. If you need to start all over with syncing via the built-in Dropbox syncing, here is an entry in our knowledgebase that will help guide you through that process:
