Delete old UK Unit Trusts

I have just imported several years' records from MS Money. One irritation I have failed to solve is that Moneydance now includes a number of old Unit Trusts that I sold some years ago. They are cluttering up the stock prices on the home page and when I try to delete them from Tools - Securities I am told I cannot delete a "currency that is being used". What have I done wrong? How can I get round this?

Thanks

Roger

    Hi Roger,

I'm not familiar with UK Unit Trusts but if they are treated as individual securities you can set the option so that they are not displayed on the Home Page.
To do so, Menu bar > Tools > Securities > Select the UK UT > Edit
In the resulting form, again click Edit.
Finally, remove the check-mark next to 'Show on Home Page'.

If on the other hand UK Unit Trusts are treated as individual accounts, you can set the account to be hidden on the Home Page (if the balance is zero) and / or set the account to 'Inactive'.
To do so, open Moneydance to the account in question.
Menu bar > Account > Edit Account.
In the resulting form check-mark 'Hide on Home Page' (If Balance is Zero) and / or check-mark 'Inactive'.

    Hi Kevin

Thank you. you have solved it. UK Unit Trusts are, I think, the same
as US Mutual Funds. I had entered them as securities and was trying
to delete using the delete on > tools > securities but the delete
button there did not work. Going on to > edit > edit > and unclicking
     >show on home page > does indeed work.

    Thank you

    Roger
