Okay,

I've recently rebuilt my laptop with WIndows 7 Ultimate x64 and have installed both JRE and JDK SE 1.6.0u17 for x64.

I have the following system environment variables set:

EXE4J_JAVA_HOME=C:\PROGRA~1\JAVA\JRE6
JAVA_HOME=C:\PROGRA~1\JAVA\JRE6
JDK_HOME=C:\PROGRA~1\JAVA\JDK16~1.0_1
JRE_HOME=C:\PROGRA~1\JAVA\JRE6

When I initiate the install, it claims it cannot find the Java, so after browsing to the java.exe file, it splats out the attached l4j_nlog file.

    Angie,

    The issue continued.

    I had to hack my way around it to make it work so I could continue to update my moneydance file.

    I ended up downloading the compressed package for Linux, then created a batch file to run moneydance (see attached).

    I could not get MD to use an existing Java installation. It never found one that it liked. I had to have it download Java itself for its own use. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium 64. This has occurred each time I've installed or upgraded MD.

    I'm interested to see if this was ever resolved.

    I will be upgrading to Windows 7 64 bit soon. Will the latest Moneydance be compatible??

    The latest version of moneydance is compatible with Windows 7 64 bit. I was not able to reproduce the problem described in the above discussion.

    Sincerely
    Ben Spencer
