Error Description: java.net.SocketException: Network is unreachable
I've been using moneydance for a couple of years with no problems. i recently upgraded to the latest version, again no problems. I have had no connection problems, before or after updating, until today. I am running debian squeeze. I was able to connect from a virtual machine running windows xp on the same machine. When I connect via XP, it connects with no problem, starting this morning when I attempt to connect via linux (debian) it doesn't connect.
I only use two banks -
- American Express - USAA Savings Bank
I get this message when I try to connect -
"There was an error communicating with your financial instution.
The details of this error are below.
There was an error communicating with the server. This could be
the result of a network problem, or the server may be offline or
not responding. Please try the operation again later.

Hi
This problem may be related to the version of java you are running on your debian machine. What version of java are you using? I highly recommend installing the latest jre from sun.
Sincerely
Ben Spencer

Problem persists.
- have removed money dance and java and re-installed both.
running debian squeeze.
moneydance still works fine on a virtual machine (guest) on the same computer as debian (host).
any suggestions?
