can't print checks with MD 2010 on Mac OS X
We've been happy users of MD 08 for more than a year. We just upgraded to MD 2010 & now can't print checks (report printing works fine). There seem to be two bugs, one that was also present in MD 08 that we worked around & a new one in MD 2010 that breaks the work-around.
The old bug (in MD 08, 10 & the 728 beta) is that if "Printing Preference" is set to "2.0" the PDF page that results is about 1/3 of the correct size (2.91 x 4.13 in. rather than 8.5 x 11 in.). Since these dimensions are 7.5 x 10.5 cm and the "US Letter" printable region is usually 7.5 x 10.5 in, it almost looks like someone entered inch values into an internal paper size table dimensioned in cm.
We were working around this bug in MD 08 by setting "Printing Preference" to "1.1" which resulted in a correct paper size. But in MD 2010 (both the released 723 & the 728 beta) this results in a "Frame must not be null" null pointer exception in sun.print.PrintJob2D.initPrintJob2D (log attached).

I am sorry for the unreasonably long delay in responding to your issue. If you are not using the most recent version (2010r2 build 738), please update to that version. You can download the update here. This update has resolved a few key issues our users have been experiencing. Please let me know if your issue persists and we will look into other solutions, including your OS and the version of Java you are using.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and I apologize again for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
