Installing and starting the program
The program to be downloaded but when I try to open the program it just repeatedly installs but never opens. I get a momentary pop up that says that a "specified module cannot be found: IaStorAfsServiceapi.dll"

Hi Bruce
It could help support help you if you posted your computers operating system Mac, Windows, Linux, version, 32 or 64 bit.

it is a 64 bit (whatever that means)

I've been told it will be helpful to identify the system I'm using: it is a Dell Inspirion 13 with Windows 10; 64 bit (I think)

I'm a fellow user.
The file you mention is not part of Moneydance. Research indicates it is part of an Intel utility.

OK, thanks. Fixed that issue but Moneydance still won't open. Anyone have any more ideas?

You need to tell us exactly what you have done, what error messages you are getting, if any etc. We have absolutely no idea what is occurring on your computer if you do not tell us.

Hi Bruce
It could help other users with the same issue if you explain how you solved the problem.

It was simple operator error. BUT more instructions with the download might have helped. As a self-identified "non computer geek" I kept trying to open Moneydance from the download file instead of looking to where the program was installed on my C drive. 勞 It would also help if the user guide (i.e., the Instruction Manual) was accessible from the same page as the download! We're not all super heroes of computing, you know. This is one area where the bigger outfits like Intuit and Microsoft shine and upstarts like Moneydance stumble. You might have the best software in the world but if it isn't easy for new users to get started, the frustration factor will push us back to Quicken, et al.Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
