Check# drop down list edit
I am using the latest preview version of MD 2019.4 (1903) and the check# drop down list cannot be edited by previous methods.
Anyone else having this problem?

I'm a fellow user.
It's a change bought in by the developer in the latest preview release.
Using the Find and Replace Extension or Batch change are about the only way to bulk change it.
If you pull down the drop down in the register you will see all entries used except cheque number sequences.
I would suggest you voice or like or dislike of this new approach.

I am not looking to replace anything, I would like to remove some items in the drop down list that are no longer needed.
I have not found any way to do that.
Any ideas on how to do that?

In this release there is no fixed list as such, the list you see when you select the drop down in the register is generated from the entries that already exist in the register.

Just to add to dwg's comment. As a result, the only way to currently "remove items from the list" is to remove/replace each instance of the item from the Check # field within the register. The register can be sorted by the Check # field by clicking the top of the column.

Does anyone know what the last version was that allowed one to edit the drop down list?

Hi cdr,
Per the preview build change log, the change was made to build number 1902.
https://infinitekind.com/previewdl/current/changelog.txt
There doesn't appear to be an entry for build 1901, so 1900 would be the last version to allow one to edit the drop down list.

Thanks Kevin.
I reinstalled 1900 and was able to make my changes.
I hope the developers reconsider this change.
Regards,
Dave
