Memorized report titles differ depending on how you generate them (sidebar vs. home page) -- not good
My memorized reports are all derived from standard MD reports (e.g. Income and Expenses) but I have customized the titles (e.g. Schedule E Income and Expense for San Diego). Each of these reports is listed on the sidebar under Graphs and Reports, as well as on my home page under Memorized Reports.
If I click on a report on the sidebar, the report is generated with a standard title such as Income and Expenses. On the other hand, if I click on the same report on my home page, the report is generated correctly with its customized title. In both cases, the data and the totals are the same, confirming that MD is, indeed, generating the same reports, but forgetting the memorized, customized title.
What's going on here? The sidebar link and the home page link should be generating identical reports, shouldn't they? This isn't a show-stopper but it is annoying.

Thanks, Angie. I'm hoping somebody fixes this pretty soon. It's slightly more than annoying when any information is left off of a report that goes to a CPA who charges >$100/hour.

I bet! I have sent this information on to our developer, and will follow up with him in the next few days and let you know what our timeline might look like.

Angie, thanks for forwarding this information. I've fixed this for build 736 which will be available as a beta/preview release in the next few days.
In the meantime, if you'd like to stick with the current release a short-term (and no doubt tedious) workaround is to click on the report title in the embedded window and manually type the name of the memorized report.

Thanks, Sean. I'll wait until the updater extension says a stable new version is available, and will download it then. Are you going to fix the "reappearing sidebar" problem at the same time? The sidebar pops up when it's been hidden any time that I resize the main window.

we are aware of the reappearing side bar bug and it is on our list of things to fix. However I do not have a time line for when we will get to it.
I am sorry that this is affecting you.
Sincerely
Ben Spencer

Hi, Ben.
Maybe this little story will help you prioritize it: The reappearing side bar has already prevented one person I know from buying Moneydance. I showed MD to a friend who was quite impressed until I resized the window. The side bar jumped back up. He said "That's just plain bad programming. What else is wrong with MD?" I said this issue was just cosmetic and he agreed but said he would stick with Quicken because their programmers at least knew how to draw windows on a PC. Sometimes, appearance is VERY important.
Best - George
