Only loads demo mode

I have been using MoneyDance for many years and think I have encountered this problem before. i have been using it this morning perfectly but when opening it again it loads up my finances but in demo mode. What have I done wrong ? last time it did this I had to start all over again as it did the same with my back ups too.
I have backed up to iCloud and also on a USB but each time I load them it still comes up in demo mode with various differences.
Please helpI am desperate to get it sorted but don't understand anything complicated !

I'm a fellow user.
When Moneydance starts up in Demo mode when it used to start up in fully licensed mode generally means that something has happened to the file config.dict. This is where the license key is stored along with various preferences and other settings.
You can easily make the software fully licensed again by entering your license key into the program by using the instructions in:
https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/purchasing-and-upgrading/registering
As to what has happened to the config.dict file there are a number of common things that could have occurred:
1. The file has been moved
2. The file has been deleted.
3. The file has somehow been corrupted.

Thank you for your help with Moneydance. I did a Norton clean which may have deleted the file. I managed to sort it by using the key to access it and used a recent backup. Now I just have to sort out. Only Foresight Extension which is only showing a flat line even though my Reminders are all there.
