I'm not from IK Support, but was wondering if you've tried widening the summary page by clicking on the III symbol at the bottom of the Summary Page border and dragging it wider. The only other thing that I could think of is making sure that you've closed and reopened the app (which I expect that you've already done to see the font increase).

Regards,

I’ve tried to simulate your problem in a test file, all the way up to +8.

Using your numbers, but still mine are not cut off, interesting see attached.

Since you are using a new version of MD, Have you updated ALL your extension? This could be significant.

You also may like to switch some of the items displayed on your summary page from left to right & vice versa to see if this makes a difference.

Some things to try.

Jeff -fellow user

jeff_ltag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/485338792020-08-09T16:50:26Z2020-08-09T16:50:26ZSummary Page Account Balances Cut Off

I've been trying the suggestions from those who have replied without success.

Widening the Summary Page (both narrow and enlarge), doesn't fix the the account current balance from being cut of. They numbers stay locked into the right margin, but not right justified. The right anchor is outside the column for the individual accounts and the Net Worth.

Yes, I've had to restart moneydance multiple times to see changes to the font size. The cut off starts to appear at +3 and beyond.

Tried switching accounts column on the summary page with the same effect. Individual Account numbers and the Net Worth are still cut off on either side.

There are no updates to the the few extensions I have. I'm using:
Find and Replace
Moneydance Updater
Quotes and Exchange Rates Updater

If it helps, I'm currently operating on:
Windows 10 2004 x 64
1920 x 1080

Thanks for all the suggestions but nothing seems to be working for me yet.

TimberWolftag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/485338792020-08-09T19:58:29Z2020-08-09T19:58:29ZSummary Page Account Balances Cut Off

Is there a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the screen? That is a symptom of the window size. This could also be due to a font info file being corrupted and giving the wrong sizes for the fonts you chose.

You can try moving your config.dict preferences file out of the way and let MD create a new one. You will have to reset your fonts, custom theme colors, back up directory etc. But it should clear problems like these.

sthtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/485338792020-08-09T20:38:29Z2020-08-09T20:38:31ZSummary Page Account Balances Cut Off

sth,

No, there's no horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the window. The only time that shows up is when moneydance is not maximized (Even then, the numbers are cut off on the right).

I renamed the config.dict file and let moneydance recreate it. Unfortunately that didn't fix the problem either.

Thanks for the suggestions.

TimberWolftag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/485338792020-08-09T22:14:18Z2020-08-09T22:14:18ZSummary Page Account Balances Cut Off

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi TimberWolf

The only time I have seen the issue you describe was due to the interaction of the font size set in Moneydance and the Windows dropdown setting “Make everything bigger (Change the size of apps and text on main display)” percentage. This setting is under Windows key + I and Ease of Access.

See the resulting screen shot then the settings clash.

Hope this helps

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/485338792020-08-09T23:13:35Z2020-08-09T23:13:36ZSummary Page Account Balances Cut Off

derekkent23,

I can confirm, that if I set the "make everything bigger" to 100% the account numbers are no longer cut off at the end. Unfortunately I have to set it to 125% or I can't see anything on the screen (old eyes). I guess everyone has better eyesight than me and don't need the Windows accessibility settings.

Its rather odd that only the individual account sums and Net Worth that are affected. The sub totals for the Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Investment Accounts and Liabilities are not cut off on the right. It's like a simple formatting error that could be corrected to solve this for everyone who needs it.

Thanks for input. Hopefully a developer can correct this formatting in an update...
The app looked perfect except when the user had that expansion setting under windows. TBH I had no such problem on the Mac which was my development platform. This is just a weirdness where Windows will scale the screen space, but then has to scale the fonts in a different way and there is a mismatch. Fonts are terrible to deal with. Actually, that was one of the design principles that Steve Jobs came up with after sitting in on a calligraphy class at Reed College. Fonts are sort of an afterthought in Windows and there are going to be various bad interactions with other things in the system. I doubt that the developer can do much. There may be some combination of MEB and the MD font scaling that will work, but it will be a trial and error system.

The linux folks have a similar problem with high definition 4K monitors and set the scaling for all of Java to a factor of 2. I think that just makes it an effective 2K monitor but I could be wrong.

Maybe the developer knows a trick to make this work.

sthtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/485338792020-08-09T23:26:19Z2020-08-09T23:26:22ZSummary Page Account Balances Cut Off

That doesn't give me a lot of hope. I don't have access to a Mac but I was going to give it a shot on a Linux box. Not expecting much improvement.

TimberWolftag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/485338792020-08-10T07:38:23Z2020-08-10T07:38:23ZSummary Page Account Balances Cut Off

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi TimberWolf

There is another setting you can play with on the Ease of Access setting window. Make text bigger.

I have 3 windows 10 computers and found I had to play with the three settings to get the best look on Moneydance. The settings are different on all three computers. The settings were a compromise with other apps.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/485338792020-08-10T13:06:55Z2020-08-10T13:06:59ZSummary Page Account Balances Cut Off

Hello derekkent23,

I started to adjusted the other windows display scaling settings and couldn't arrive at anything comfortable (eyesight-wise) that worked for the other programs I use.

This is the 2nd desktop PC that's shown the same display problem with MD for me.

A Windows Laptop with identical settings to the desktop does not cut-off the digits in MD 2020. The laptop has the same resolution, but has a smaller screen (15" for the laptop, 23" for the desktop).

Thanks for trying. Much appreciated. The weirdness continues,
