when i start moneydance i get this error:

i can still use the data and everything is working fine. it started when i started downloading my transactions on my credit card. my previous backups work fine without the error.

anyone know what this is?

    Xo,

I am sorry for the unreasonably long delay in responding to your issue. If you are not using the most recent version (2010r2 build 743), please update to that version. You can download the update here. This update has resolved a few key issues our users have been experiencing. Please let me know if your issue persists and we will look into other solutions, including your OS and the version of Java you are using.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and I apologize again for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

thank you for your response. i've updated to the latest (2010r2 build 743) and the problem continues. i'm still able to use my data. i believe it has something to do with a downloaded transaction but am not sure.

my os x version is 10.6.2 and my java version is: 1.6.0_17

the inconvenience is minor but annoying.

As a current work around, our developer says, "They can probably work around the error by editing a different MD data file (by double-clicking a different .md file) and then opening the preferences to remove the budget bars entry from the Home Page section."

It appears that the solution is simply to uninstall the "budget bars" extension. You won't lose any functionality by doing this because budget bars are now built into Moneydance 2010 (making the extension redundant, and possibly conflicting).

    Thanks,
    Sean
