reconciling
My beginning balance keeps changing when I go to reconcile. It doesn't match the ending balance of my previous reconciled statement. I do add items sometimes in a dating period that has already been reconciled, but I don't see why this should change the reconciled balance. Shouldn't the balance stay fixed, once it's reconciled, regardless of what is later added or deleted? HELP!!! ! i've spent a lot of time trying to figure this out. thanks, carolyn

Hi Carolyn
i am afraid that adding, changing or removing transactions after they have been reconciled will change the begining balance for the next reconciliation period. It is not clear to me why you would add an item in a dating period that has already been reconciled. if you have already received a bank statement for a period and verified that all your transactions in Moneydance are in agreement with your bank statement adding a transaction would not be in agreement with your banks records.
