entering transactions in different currency / changing primary currency
Hi,
I have 2 questions:
- how do i enter amounts in foreign currency? this is in an account
where there are so far only US$ items, but i want to enter a GBP
amount. - i've moved from US to UK, so i'd like to change my
primary currency to GBP instead of US. how do i do that?
Pascal

Hi Pascal,
When you create an account you specify the currency type it has. Since most of your accounts will correspond with actual accounts at financial institutions the currency of that account will usually correspond with the currency that the real account is in. You can however have a transaction that is in an account of one currency but is charged to a category that is in a different currency.
Please tell me a little more about the types of transactions and accounts you plan to have when you move and I can advise how to set things up.
Sincerely,
Jon Hoover, Moneydance Support
