Im using Moneydance 2021 (unregistered yet, trying it out before purchase) on a Mac using v11.01. I was able to add new categories to existing ones but when I do so now, the app crashes on the "new" screen where one chooses expense/income type.

Thank you for the prompt reply.

D/L the Mac app from the IK website - still same issue. When I used to add new or edit categories it was as per screen shots on the how to page, ie small window. but when doing it now, it goes full screen and promptly crashes forcing a force quit. Anything to do with categories crashes the app. Is there a way to retain the small dialogue editing box for categories?

Are you using Big Sur: If so..:Workaround: This particular issue seems related to the setting in the OSX System Preferences, General section, to "Prefer tabs [always] when opening documents". If you change "always" to never or "in full screen" then it's not an issue.

Are you using dual monitors? If so, try running with one monitor for now...
