Confirming with "transaction as downloaded" nukes category changes
Whenever I confirm a transaction, I always want the payee name to be exactly whatever the bank says. As far as I know, the only way to do this is to make sure to confirm with "transaction as downloaded". However, when I do that, the category is changed to something else, and usually the location of that transaction jumps, and the cursor points to a different transaction. Therefore it is extremely difficult to locate the transaction that was just confirmed and change the category again.

I forgot to mention, I'm running 2021 (build 2012) on Linux.

I posted in that link a while back, essentially asking that transaction merging be as similar as possible among account types and transaction types. I constantly find myself "correcting" downloaded transactions because Merge wasn't there and when I clicked on Downloaded/Previously Entered/Current Transaction, it didn't do what I expected.
