I have MD set to save on exit. After I made extensive changes to securities in investment accounts I closed and then reopened the program and the changes were gone. It doesn't seem to be happening consistently, but this is a HUGE problem for me as I can no longer trust any of the data in the accounts without looking at each and every security to make sure they have the correct # of shares. All the changes I made were manual but I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem (as opposed to downloaded transactions).

    JBNYT,

You should definitely update to to 735. The build you are using is just a developmental/preview build.

I wonder if you might have accidentally opened a different file, such as backup file?
I can't think of any file saving issues. Although if your computer was shut down or restarted (or you logged out) while MD was running MD may not have been given a chance to save the file.

Sorry, I misstated, I am using 735. My back up file is in a different file folder from the program. When I open the program it automatically loads a file (I don't choose a file to open). I had closed MD and reopened it (didn't turn off my computer) and all my changes disappeared.

    Hi

I have not been able to reproduce the the problem you are describing. In my testing the save on exit option functions correctly every time. Is there something in particular that you can do to consistently reproduce this problem?

    Sincerely

    Ben Spencer
