I'm just getting started with my trial version of MoneyDance. I am able to download checking account data from the Chase website as a stored QIF file and then import the data into MD. However, when I try to download from my Chase Visa account, there is no option to save this info as a stored QIF file. Chase tech support tells me that I must have Quicken (or Microsoft Money) installed so that the download can go directly to that application. I don'e have either of these applications and don't want to have them. Has anyone had this problem? If so, how do I get around it?

This link seems to offer credti-card downloads in QIF and OFX formats:

    Hi Gerry,
There is no need to have Quicken or MS Money insalled on your machine. Chase just hasn't heard of Moneydance (MD) yet.

MD will download Chase Visa transactions directly from Chase. No need to D/L a .qif file.

Make sure you've activated your Visa account to download directly into MD (Quicken, MS Money) by logging onto your Chase Visa account > click on the "Customer Center" tab and activate your account to download transactions directly into MD. (Quicken, MS Money) from the Reference Center section near the bottom of the page.

Once you have authorized your account with Chase, set up "Online Banking" in MD for your Chase Visa account and MD will directly D/L your transactions.
