One Chase log-in accesses
them all. I have set them up separately in MD, with account numbers
and routing numbers, but the response to downloads is somewhat
random. Transactions from one account appear in another, and some
don't download at all. Was looking forward to release from Quicken,
but this isn't promising.

We need more detailed step-by-step instructions than appear in
either help or on the support site, none of which address the
situation of multiple accounts at an institution.

If this is not a bug situation. I see a lot of posts on this
general subject.

I use MD2010r2 (735).

withersrtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/8679182010-03-01T19:02:48Z2010-03-01T19:02:48Zmultiple accounts at same institution

I apologize for the long delay in our response, I am embarrassed
to say that we have been snowed under with questions about
Moneydance 2010. If you are not using the most recent version
(2010r2 build 743), please update to that version. You can download
the update here. This
update has resolved the multiple accounts at one institution
issue.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance, and I
apologize again for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Perhaps I just don't understand what to do because the problem
still seems to exist.

I have two checking accounts and four savings accounts with the
same institution, Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union. When I
set up the primary checking account for download every transaction
gets downloaded into it, not the proper savings account or
secondary checking account.

Can you give some more detailed instructions for setting this
up? Do I set up online backing for every account
separately?

Thanks.

as described by the previous poster. I have an E*Trade account with
multiple accounts. When I get an account change, it appears in the
correct account but also in 3 of the other accounts in error. I can
delete the transactions, but it is a real pain.

rwilliams42tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/8679182010-04-23T02:55:52Z2010-04-23T02:55:55Zmultiple accounts at same institution

Your accounts are not mapped properly (in other words, one
E*Trade account is pointing to each of your Moneydance
accounts).

Disable the Online Set-up for the three problem accounts. Then
you will need to re-enable them. Once you have entered your ID and
Password click Ok and wait (do not click next). You need to see a
window that will display - "Please choose the account you wish to
you" - which are your E*Trade accounts listed in a drop down list.
If you bypass this window - your Moneydance Account will map to the
first account on this list. Sometimes you will need to just wait
for this window to pop-up as it can take several seconds. If you
click next you will likely bypass this important window. Believe me
I am speaking from experience.

Your welcome. But what you did was not bonehead at all. When the
Userid and Password window goes away you are presented with a
window that has Next and Cancel enabled. Since we don't know that
the system is trying to connect to the Financial Institution, the
natural response is to click Next. The program should better
sequence these windows or disable some buttons to prevent this from
happening.

have the option to click "next" when something is happening in the
background that could effect your set-up. I just wasted and hour
trying to figure this out for my daughter's new accounts.

RecalcitrantRontag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/8679182011-05-01T00:19:13Z2011-05-01T00:19:13Zmultiple accounts at same institution

RecalcitrantRon,

We've resolved this issue in Moneydance 2011, which is currently
in beta testing and will be released in the next month or so. I'm

account from the bank (I too have multiple accounts), but only have
one account listed in the drop down.

I use Charles Schwab, of which there are two "bank" choices for
Schwab and have tried both of them.

Any ideas?

accounts, and 1 with only 1 account, and for the several weeks I've
been using Moneydance they all download properly. They are a
mixture of checking, savings, and credit card.

I list each bank account as a separate account in Moneydance,
and obviously enter the correct account and routing information for
that bank account.

When I set up for online banking in Moneydance, I pick one
account, and enter my web account info. BoA then returns to
Moneydance a list of the bank accounts for that web account, and
Moneydance returns them to me in a drop down box. I choose the
correct bank account to match the Moneydance account.

In the several weeks I've been using Moneydance, I haven't had
any problems like the others have mentioned...
