Whenever I try to reconcile my bank account I press reconcile and it locks up the program and the reconcilation window does not appear. Have to control, alt, delete to get out of program.

    What Os/version?
    What MD version?
Does the popup window appear, or is it really appearing ‘off screen’?

In addition to the above information, this can happen when the program tries to open the window off of the main screen, such as if you have had a second monitor connected recently. If that's the case, you can try to reconnect that monitor and drag the window back. Alternatively, can you try resetting your Moneydance preferences and see if that fixes the issue that you're seeing? To do this, you have to rename your config.dict file. If you're using Mac OS X, it should be located at one of these locations within your Home folder:

    ~/Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/config.dict

    or:

    ~/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/config.dict

If you have any trouble finding your Home Library folder, open Finder, select Go -> Go to Folder -> from the menu bar, and copy and paste in:

    ~/Library

This should pull up your local Library folder.

If you're using Windows, it should be located at:

    C:/Users/(yourusername)/.moneydance/config.dict

If you're using Linux, it should be located at:

    /home/(yourusername)/.moneydance/config.dict

Once you've found your config.dict file, close Moneydance and rename it (to something like config2.dict, for example), then open Moneydance again and it will appear as though you've just installed Moneydance for the first time, so you'll have to re-enter your license key and may have to locate and open your data set again. If you run into any problems, you can simply close Moneydance and rename the original config.dict file back to config.dict and open Moneydance again to restore your original settings.

If that doesn't work, can you send me your errlog.txt file? If you're using Mac OS X, it should be located at one of these locations within your Home folder:

    ~/Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt

    or:

    ~/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt

If you have any trouble finding your Home Library folder, open Finder, select Go -> Go to Folder -> from the menu bar, and copy and paste in:

    ~/Library

This should pull up your local Library folder.

If you're using Windows, it should be located at:

    C:/Users/(yourusername)/.moneydance/errlog.txt

If you're using Linux, it should be located at:

    /home/(yourusername)/.moneydance/errlog.txt

    Windows 10 Pro version 2004+
    Moneydance 2021.1 3089

I have dual monitors and it used to appear on the other screen. Now it
    doesn't.

Ok, so that probably narrows down what's happening to the dual monitor issue. Resetting the config.dict file as I described takes care of almost all of those situations.

    Download from here:
    https://infinitekind.com/app/md/extensions/toolbox.mxt

Locate the file in explorer. Drag the file and drop it onto the Moneydance left side bar. It will then install. Say yes/ok etc.

    Then menu, extensions, toolbox

In toolbox. Top left menu. Enable advanced mode.
    Then general tools menu.
    - fix Reset window display settings. 1. RESET>> Just Window locations. Say yes to make backup. Accept the disclaimer etc. Then restart MD when done. If that didn’t work you can try option 4.

Note. You only need backup once, not each time.

Let’s see if this helps? If not then we will try something else.
