    Hi Doris,

First off, these forums are not a live chat session. They are a post and reply forum. Replies from MD support usually occur within 24 hours.
You'll need to provide a little more information in order for anyone to be able to help you.
What version of Moneydance are you using?
What steps did you take that led up to your files disappearing?
What Operating System are you using?

    Hi Doris,

These forums are actively monitored by MD support. There are also knowledgeable users here to help. I am a Moneydance user.

These are public forums, It's not a good idea to post your license key here or anywhere else for that matter. Someone could use your key without your permission.

Your data file has a .md extension. For example [yourfilename].md

Something for you to try is to do a 'Search' of your computer for any file ending with a .md extension.
To do so, enter the following into your computer's Search field.
    *.md
The star is a wildcard, it will help to find any file name that has a .md extension.

    Hi Doris,

OK, also check in your computer's Trash folder, just in case.

    Doris,

Kevin's suggestion of using a spotlight search to find your Moneydance data file is exactly what I would have advised. Did you have any luck with that? Do let me know and we'll continue from there. I've also removed your order number and license key from the public forum for security purposes.

    Hi Angie,

I retrieved my files from archive. I had hit "Clear Menu" in error and it had thrown the file into "Archives" Big mistake but had it up and running soon.
Thanks so much for Kevin's help.
I had not pulled all my 2012 files for tax purposes and almost paniced Thank you for removing the information from public forum. Again, Thanks
