The most likely issue is that the window is being rendered off screen, you can try the following approaches to determine if this is the issue and how to correct.

Moneydance remembers the last screen position used, even if that screen is no longer connected it remembers the virtual position.

Three solutions are available:

The first two approaches uses standard Windows methods to move a window onscreen.

The traditional approach to moving a window is as follows. Use the Key combination - followed by the M key to get access to the resize and move options and to invoke the Move function then use the arrow keys to move the window back onto the visible screen.

Alternatively, if you're using Windows 7 or later, you can try holding down the and keys, then tap the or key, which should move the missing window onto your current monitor.

If all else fails you can try the third approach.

Rename the config.dict file that exists in the .Moneydance folder under your login directory. doing this removes all preferences including the remembered positions, it will be as if Moneydance has just been installed, so you need to open your Data Set as well as re-enter your license key.

Incidentally there were no changes to the monitor setup, just an in-place upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

It's possible, however, that something might have got screwed up in the scaling. I had changed the fonts in MD to make them easier to read on my 27" 2K monitors.

Thank you!

ssmitttag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/494343552021-10-14T06:00:13Z2021-10-14T06:00:13ZAccount > Reconcile (Cntrl+B) function locks up Moneydance.

There is also an option 4. - load the Toolbox extension and then Advanced mode, Tools Menu, Reset Window Positions...

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/494343552021-10-14T13:14:26Z2021-10-14T13:14:28ZAccount > Reconcile (Cntrl+B) function locks up Moneydance.

Option 4 would definitely have worked as well - as clearing the font/format customizations is presumably what fixed the problem.

I set those up because the default font / theme is EXTREMELY difficult to read on large higher rez monitors with my aging eyes.

Would have preserved some my other settings :)

ssmitt
