Sharebuilder OFX Import
I am trying to import data from my sharebuilder account. If I download the OFX file and try to import I get this error message:
"There was an error communicating with your financial institution. The details of this error are below.
The error code reported by the server was: 2000"
If I try to setup the account for direct connect it asks for a
broker id? What is that?

Hi Chad,
I'm a little confused as to what you're trying to do. Are you downloading and then importing an OFX file from your bank, or are you trying to set up a direct connection? We do support connections to Sharebuilder, so you should be able to set up a connection using the New Connection button. If you're having trouble connecting, it could be due to a couple of reasons. First, many institutions require that you contact them in order to enable your account for direct connections. If you haven't already, please connect Sharebuilder to be sure that your accounts are activated for direct connections. Alternately, our connection information for Sharebuilder could be out of date. I'll check our database to be sure it's up to date.
Hope that helps. Please let me know if you continue to have trouble connecting.

I have tried both. If I download an OFX file from Sharebuilder, I get the error previosly mentioned. If I try to connect directly with"New Connection" from within Moneydance, it asks me for a "Broker ID". I have tried my userid for their site and that does not work. So I'm trying to determine what it is looking for in the "Broker I'd" field.
Thanks for your help.
Chad

Okay,
I was able to get OFX import to work fine. Maybe their servers were down? I haven't tried to do Direct connect yet. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi Chad,
It's quite possible that their servers were temporarily down. Please let me know if you have any more problems connecting.

Okay,
I got direct connect to work now with the latest beta (740). When setting up online banking it now asks for User name and password now, instead of "Broker ID".
Works great now, as long as I remember my password....
