However, we never force upgrades or 'sunset' older versions of the program. You can continue to use the same version of Moneydance for as long as you wish.

If the above is true I should be able to see my license number, I can't see mine and I am treated like a new customer dumped into Demo Mode. I'm allowed only 100 entries in Demo Mode.
If you keep doing this I will have to move on.

It sounds like you have installed a newer version than the license you have purchased is for.

Moneydance will not show a license number in the About Moneydance display if the license is not valid for that version. The license key should should still be visible if you view the config.dict file.

Yes, when I did the update the license key was requested and I found it
in "Help", copied it and entered it to proceed, all appeared to be fine
    until I started Moneydance.
The license key was requested again and when I went to Help to copy it
there was no license key available!
So, I'm stuck with a hundred entries and treats me like a new user!, it
would not allow me to use my old version with the old license (I presume).

    1. Go here and find out what license / version you have (bottom two boxes)

    2. Go to Moneydance > About Moneydance and find out what version you have installed.

    3. Go to one of these two links and download the matching version (either current, or prior version):

This will at least allow you to continue working....
