Hi.

Long time Moneydance user here. Just paid to upgrade Moneydance to the latest 2022 version. When I run it, it crashes with an Info box that says:

Error loading extension: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/google/gson/ExclusionStrategy

Please help!

(I was able to uninstall, and then reinstall the *previous* version, and that still works, so I'm able to do what I need to do. Would like to upgrade, though.)

It's whatever the latest download is for Linux as of this morning. It
crashes as it starts so I cannot check that from the about box.

Is is the latest PREVIEW from here? If not, try it...

    https://infinitekind.com/preview

The errlog.txt file will be on disk.. I think it should be somewhere nearby here...

    Linux
    /home//.moneydance/Documents

    Try searching for it....

I've just tried the latest version on Linux, and it appears to run fine. If you could let us know the exact version of Moneydance you've tried to install and your version of Linux, that would be helpful. The errlog should also contain more useful information, even if the program is crashing.

If you're using Linux, it should be located at:

    /home/(yourusername)/.moneydance/errlog.txt
