Moneydance not working with MacOS Monterey

Does Moneydance 2022 support MacOS Monterey version 12.0.1 (21A559)? If not, which version of Moneydance should I have downloaded?

After launching Moneydance, the only thing I see is the main application dropdown in the upper left corner of my new MacBook Pro - the application doesn't launch. On another MacBook Pro I own, there should be many more menu options all across the top of the screen.

Please help.

Sean told me today that yes Monterey is officially supported.

Can you find the errlog.txt file and post that

    And….

    Launch terminal and run
    "/Applications/Moneydance.app/Contents/MacOS/Moneydance" -d

And post the output from that too?

I'm running the latest preview on 12.0.1 without any issues, looks like you are on the latest MacBook Pro so may be specific to that? (I'm running it on an M1 iMac and an Intel MBP, both on 12.0.1)

I wasn't exactly sure where to find the errlog.txt file but I located another error file within the Console app's log reports. Let me know if that's not what you needed.

This is the output from the terminal app:

    /Applications/Moneydance.app/Contents/MacOS/Moneydance

Can you try preview build 4060 just released today with extra iCloud debugging. Repeat the above steps using this new build.

    Just saw the "-d" request....

I'm not sure how to tell which build I'm downloading. I'm navigating to "https://infinitekind.com/download-moneydance-personal-finance-software" and downloading the only Mac option I see.

The output above was build 4058…also don’t bother with the fsck logs they are not related. The terminal output is good tho’. Repost with 4060 output

Here's the terminal file for build 4060.

The only thing I've noticed so far is that I can't see the text in the far right column when I'm merging downloaded transactions. If I hover over that area, I can see some details and usually figure out which I'm supposed to click. Hopefully updated builds will fix any lingering issues like this.

Joe, are you saying MD launches OK now? Post 1 said you could not launch MD?

I just updated the Appearance (System Preferences >> General >> Appearance) from "Auto" to "Light" and now I can see the text in the downloaded transactions/merge column.

@Stuart Beesley - yes, build 4060 allows me to successfully launch/use Moneydance. Thank you so much!
