cha-ching sound doesn't work at random
I'm having trouble with the registers not always playing the sound when I enter a new or change a transaction. It's very random. Sometimes it does it, other times not. Can you help?
I'm using MD 2012 (825) on an iMac running OSX 10.7.5

Hi Jonathan,
There was another user where the ker-ching sound was gone altogether, they ended up using the version of Moneydance made for OS X 10.6 to resolve it.

Hi Jonathan,
Build 825 is a slightly older version of MD 2012
You can download build 852 here:
http://infinitekind.com/downloads
or the preview build, currently 857 here:
http://infinitekind.com/preview
You may want to try the later version before the version for 10.6

Thanks so much. I'll give it a try. Just for my reference. Is there an update feature/option in the software to keep up to date? And if not, how to I manually keep up to date?
Thanks!

I updated to (852) but now I'm getting the attached screen every time I open the program. Any thoughts.

Hi Jonathan,
Take a look at this thread. The user there had the same problem that you are seeing. In their case they needed to change the underscores in the data set name to spaces.

Hi Jonathan,
I meant to add that Moneydance does have a build in updater extension. The Moneydance Updater can be added through the Extensions Menu.
Once installed it can be set to check for updates on start-up.
Just to seemingly keep things interesting, not all builds are 'pushed' to the Updater so you will still need to periodically check back at the downloads page to see if you are current.
The 'Welcome Screen' issue is resolved. Correct?
And the cha-ching issue?
