I have MoneyDance on my iPhone 12 Pro Max and lately when I enter a transaction through the phone app, they show up as duplicates.</p>
<p>Also, when I try to delete previous entries on the phone app, they go away for a moment but quickly reappear.</p>

<p>Which version and build of Moneydance are you using on your desktop?<br>
To check, open Moneydance and select Help --> About Moneydance (or Moneydance --> About Moneydance on a Mac) where the version and build number will be displayed.</p>
<p>Can you let me know which operating system you're running on your computer?</p>
<p>When you navigate to File --> Syncing, which connection method do you have selected?<br>
Is the data on your desktop, up-to-date?</p>

The logs should include information about what might be causing the problem.</p>
<p>They are saved on your computer as an errlog.txt file.</p>
<p>You can get to your error logs as follow:</p>
<p>1) navigate to <strong>Help->Console Window</strong> to show the console log in a window</p>
<p>or</p>
<p>2) in the Finder, press ⌘⇧G and then copy and paste <code>~/Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support</code> into the field and press enter/return.</p>
<p>At that point the finder will show an internal folder which contains the errlog.txt file which contains the log.</p>
<p>Finally you can paste the full content to your next reply <a href="https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/discussions/problems/74999-duplicate-entries">here</a>.</p>

Firstly, create a manual backup file, choose File --> Export Backup and save it in a location of your choice.</p>
<p>Then, from your iPhone, launch the Moneydance mobile app and select <strong>Disconnect</strong>. You may want to restart your phone.</p>
<p>Open Moneydance on the computer, navigate to <strong>File --> Syncing->Don't Sync</strong><br>
Reveal your Passphrase and take note of it. (You will need to enter the same on your phone's app later).</p>
<p>Restart Moneydance.</p>
<p>Open the file you'd like to share and navigate to <strong>File --> Syncing->Dropbox Connection</strong><br>
You'll be prompted to visit the Dropbox site and retrieve an authorisation code that you can enter into Moneydance.</p>
<p>Finally, open the mobile app click on the blue 'Dropbox' title and logo at the top of the screen. This will allow you to connect with Dropbox and access your sync files.</p>
<p>You should pick the same file as your computer, and enter the Passphrase to match your computer.</p>

If there is any problem on the computer side you can simply restore from a backup.</p>
