Memorized transaction reports "Nothing to Report" error message
Created a series of year-end transactions reports from checkbook register. As advised, I used the transaction filter report, called up all transactions in a particular category (eg utilities, home repair), selected them all and did a batch change to set a tag with the name of the category. Each report generated properly and I then memorized each report. However, when I later went to retrieve each report from the Memorized Reports list I got the error message "nothing to report." I see that others were having this problem several years ago but I did not see a resolution. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi Richard,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
Memorizing a report memorizes the criteria used to generate the report.
Each time you generate the report, it could produce different data depending on what criteria is used. For instance, if the the date criteria is set for This Quarter or Last Year, then the output will be different depending on the date the report is generated. This "memorized report" remains in the Sidebar for easy recall and use.
When you select Memorized report from the sidebar, you should also select the name of the report in the resulting window to be able to generate a report.
Saving a report saves the output. Moneydance can save reports in HTML, Comma Delimited, or Tab Delimited. This saves the data in a digital format. Saving a report is different from memorizing the criteria.
"Saved Reports" do not appear in the sidebar. It would be a good idea to store them in an easily found directory on your computer. Generated reports can also be printed, printed to a PDF and stored digitally in a location of your choice.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have further questions or need any assistance.

I have been experiencing similar issue of memorized reports (that have worked accurately for multiple years) showing no and/ or wrong results. Also;
- when clicking the Edit button, the Transaction Filter window appears and immediately displays the list of accounts as if I clicked the account disclosure to choose and account for the report.
- Filtering on Cleared or Check# do not provide the correct results. It seems like they are ignored or display the opposite of what was chosen
- Frequently when clicking the Edit button the OK button is blank
Recreating the reports yield the same erroneous results
This has been occurring for about 6-7 months
Suggestions ?

We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.
Which version and build of Moneydance are you using?
To check, open Moneydance and select Help --> About Moneydance (or Moneydance --> About Moneydance on a Mac) where the version and build number will be displayed.
Can you let me know which operating system you're running on your computer/s?
Have you tried upgrading to the latest preview version?

Thanx for the response. Sorry I didn't reply earlier - my post is not showing up in my account and I just happened to check here to sees whyI didn't receive a response ....
Using 2022.2 (4060)
Mac Monetrey 12.1 but issues start prior to my upstaging the mac from previous version and prior to upgrading MoneyDance from last, most recent version
No - I have not tried the preview version. With all due respect you haven't provided any response except try an unreleased version without any statement about the issue or if the prerelease version addresses the issue. -- Given the post I originally commented in with the same or similar issue -- is this a known issue? This issue has existed for me since the previous version and I thought the current release would have fixed it.
Can you offer anything more specific?

Sorry for not specifying the follow:
1) Firstly, for an optimal performance your operating system - Monterey, requires the latest preview version Moneydance 2022.3 (4063). This is available to download from this page.
The preview version is the latest version plus recent fixes and improvements added to it. It is safe to run! This is the reason, we recommend it.
In Moneydance 2022.3 build 4061 we have included a fix for debit/credit amount reversal in the Transaction Filter report and more.
For further details, please click here.
If after running the update, the issue persists, please provide a screenshot of what you're seeing along with a brief description of the issue.

Thank you

Installed the last preview version and most problems with the report filters working properly.
Issue remaining:
Upon clicking edit when displaying a memorized report, the transaction filter opens and the account selection drop-down automatically displays accounts to be chosen
