Memo field on Auto Entry
When I start typing a transaction Moneydance auto completes the category and memo field. Is there a way to stop the memo field being auto entered as on the transaction dialog this does not always appear so I cannot delete at point of entry.

Hello,
The autofill is generated from the previous history in the account register. I'm afraid there's no way to turn this off.

Could we then submit this as a feature request -- perhaps an option to either copy the value from the previous transaction when entered or not to?
It doesn't make much sense to me to copy the memo field. To me a memo field contents usually apply to the individual transaction, not to the payee. But other people might look at that differently, and so you could give your users that option.
