Recovering data file from wiped laptop using Windows 10 Pro
I am re-installing Moneydance after wiping my computer clean. The installation wizard gives me 3 options and since I have 6 year's of data entered I chose "Import new account set". But I don't know where my file might be. How do I proceed?

Hi Frank,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
Since you are entitled to a free upgrade to the latest version, I would recommend downloading and installing Moneydance 2022.3 (4063).
However, your data sets are not included, as they are normally stored separately within your system.
Is it possible that you have a backup file saved somewhere else, perhaps? (external drive, Dropbox).
Were you syncing your data file with any other device prior to "wiping your computer clean"?
Your data files would have the format: yourfilename.moneydance, while your backups would be .moneydancearchive files. These can be opened by double clicking them and you should not need to import them.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.
