Cannot acces backuped data
After a forced close on my MacBook. I cannot recover backup data
from back up device (even though I have backed up the data). This
has happened a number of times. The file is greyed out on the back
up file and cannot be accessed. Alos the app. is greyed out in
Applications - even though I have reinstalled MoneyDance a number
of times. It seems the App is not compatible with IOS
I have had to reconstitute the data a number of times and I do not
want to keep on doing this
What do I di?

Hi Ian,
Can you send me the contents of your console log? This can be found by going to Help -> Console window in Moneydance.
Also, is the Moneydance app grayed out in your iPad or iPhone, or on your computer?

Hi Ian,
I would suggest upgrading to the latest version to see if that will fix these issues for you (you shouldn't need to restore backups from corruption very frequently, so I am wondering if something is going on with your computer, rather than Moneydance).
I would suggest downloading Moneydance from here:
http://infinitekind.com/preview
which is about to be released as the latest official version and following these instructions:
http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/moneydance-2012/converting-from-an-...
to help you migrate to the newest version. This is a free upgrade for you.

Hi Ian,
To right click on a file in a Mac (this brings up the context menu, which I think you're asking for), I believe you hold Ctrl or Command and click the file.
Are you able to drag and drop your back ups onto Moneydance and open them that way?
